Hot Tub Installs done properly
Most hot tubs need a dedicated 240 volt circuit, commonly in the 40 to 60 amp range depending on the model. That circuit has to be GFCI protected, and the disconnect has to be placed within sight of the tub but at the distance the electrical code requires.
We handle the whole run: the breaker at your panel, the cable or conduit to the tub location, the disconnect, and the final connection at the tub's control pack. If your panel doesn't have the room, we'll tell you straight away and give you your options.
Before your tub arrives
- Check the manufacturer's electrical spec (amperage and voltage)
- Decide on the final tub location, pad or deck
- Confirm your panel has space and capacity for a new 240V breaker
- Plan the route from the panel to the tub, including any trenching
- Book the electrician before the delivery date, not after

Only small 120V plug-and-play models are designed for that, and they still need a GFCI-protected dedicated outlet. Most full-size tubs need a hardwired 240V circuit.
Yes. The electrical supply for a hot tub requires a permit and inspection in Alberta. We look after it.
We can often add a small sub panel or rework existing breakers. If the service itself is maxed out, we'll explain your options, including a panel upgrade.
Yes. For tubs away from the house we trench and run the supply underground in the appropriate cable or conduit.
